I say no to social events all the time! I tend to save these things for the weekend, instead of after work -- all I want to do is stay in, relax, workout, eat good food after work.

This one was on a Saturday, and the last couple of them have been. But I just work on Saturdays and after a long work week, a quick turnaround to go out, even a few hours, is daunting. Plus I usually have more to carry home on Saturdays it’s a while to do lol.

Maybe one of these times I won’t be dead ass tired. I like being social. I just needed sleep more, and last night also proved that too 🤣thank you for reading!

Sleeeeeeppppp…!! If I don’t get enough sleep, I do not do well during the day at all. If you’re working Saturday, then I can see why you wouldn’t want to go out!

Yeah and I did not get enough sleep the previous two nights to justify most likely messing up my sleep for a third night lol.

I am not a recluse and I enjoy my social things (in moderation). My job is also just very busy and in front of people at the moment. So when I get my time to decompress, I also really enjoy that too. I don’t like missing out on building bonds with people. But My brain just needs to rest.

Work has been super busy this week, and by the time I get home, I just want to relax and sleep. I like my job, but I do want to manage the stress better.

A coworker invited me to go out dancing, which sounded fun, but as the week went on, I got more exhausted. I work Saturdays too, so I decided to skip it this time and rest instead.

Also, my screen time and notifications are down this week, which is nice. Most of my phone use is for messages and transit updates, so I can live with that!

Thanks for sharing your metrics. My smartphone use is way down as well, my sleep time creeping up, and I’m feeling more rested. My dry January has turned into a nonstop thing and I don’t miss the drinks. I’ve been working on new “rituals” to replace the “wine with dinner” and it’s working.

I’ve also started meditating each morning - first thing - and I’m noticing a new peacefulness. It’s welcome.

That’s all wonderful! And I am very down to share the metrics. Helps keep me honest, especially about the phone use. I need to get back to morning meditation. It really does help keep the mind in a good place after sleeping.

Thank you for reading!
