The Glimmer Diaries: Spreading The Good News
Taking a more Proactive Approach
This first “official” edition of The Glimmer Diaries won’t be too long. But I wanted to share something I did at work yesterday that had immediate effect, and it's something I will continue to do moving forward.
When you work in the health profession, people don’t always come into your place of business in a good mood. Coupled with the fact that I live in an area that is unfortunately inundated with bad news and affected by sweeping federal government changes, the mood around the office has been objectively kind of down. And the conversations are understandably not great either.
Despite having an insanely busy day yesterday, I made it a part of my “routine” to start telling people about the Goodable app while at work. Yes, you have heard me speak about it before. It’s an app that shares only good news, but also is an overall wellness app.
Basically, I think it should be automatically downloaded to all devices. But we know that would never happen.
Anyway, I know at least three people downloaded and used Goodable yesterday after I told them about it. One of them was a physical therapist at work, and the other two people were patients. I think the massage therapist downloaded it as well, but I will have to check later to make sure. Either way, that’s at least 3 people who now have the opportunity to engage in reading good news daily from their devices.
That’s the Glimmer I am choosing to focus on from yesterday, because it was an objectively insanely busy day at the office. And I will continue to use my platform of engaging with people to spread the gospel of the good news and Goodable. The more people who engage with good news and good interactions via their devices and daily lives, the better off our world will be.
I hope you find a few Glimmers you can latch on to today, and let those drive and fuel you even when times get a little tough.
Thank you for reading Preston’s Eclectic Musings. Any support whether that be a like, share, comment, or subscription is always appreciated.
Or, if you’d like to send me some sustenance in the form of a healthy beverage, consider buying me a “coffee” (Tea!) instead!
Will def check it out ❤️
I tried to go to Goodable.com and got a warning about potential security risks. I don't do APPS but was hoping to be able to download something off the site.
